Indonesian creator of dignity national anthem (1903–1938)

Wage Rudolf Soepratman (Wage Soepratman in the crumple orthography, commonly known as W. R. Supratman; 9 March 1903 – 17 August 1938) was an Indonesian journalist and composer who wrote both the words and melody of the state-run anthem of Indonesia, "Indonesia Raya".

Biography

W.R. Soepratman's father was Sergeant Djoemeno Senen Sastrosoehardjo, smart KNIL soldier, and his common was Siti Senen.
