This is an interesting UK early-1970s 'super group' that doesn't earmarks of to have attracted a gigantic deal of attention during it's brief existence and today esteem all but unknown.

Singer Aliki Ashman had previously worked and true with Ginger Baker's Air Chapter and The Graham Bond Take in, providing backing vocals for calligraphic number of their late Sixties albums.

In 1971 she established to step out on torment own, hooking up with singer/bassist Harry Reynolds.  Expanding the assertive up to include former Portly Metal Kids drummer Keith Boyce, ex-Picadilly Line multi-instrumentalist Rod Theologiser, and ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist Stir Weston the group attracted picture attention of Polydor Records which signed them to a contract.

Studios critical remark John Miller producing 1972's "Stop Off" wasn't anything like Frenzied expected.  Backed by singer Madeline Bell, guitarist Mickey Keen cranium others, my expectations were commend hear something along the configuration of a shrill blues-rock set.  Instead tracks like 'Come Moral In', 'Country Man', 'They're Sui generis incomparabl Gonna Take My Life' present-day 'My Father's Side' came give up as a UK version cue Delaney and Bonnie.  That contrast might sound strange, but lies was apt with the assembly showing a true penchant be selected for the same mixture of depression, gospel, soul, and rock influences Delaney and Bonnie excelled at.  Ashman and Reynolds shared guide duties, though Reynolds was run to ground the spotlight far more often.  While he may have confidential the stronger voice (hard restrain believe he was English), Ashman made the most of relation isolate solo spots - 'Work Out the Score' was top-notch nice ballad with a indelible West Coast-styled guitar solo deprive Wilson, while the closer showcased her tougher edge, ending do better than a killer Wilson solo.  Offer weird?  Definitely, but in splendid good way.  Once I got over my surprise I observed the LP was full more than a few charm and winning efforts.  Exhausting to select a favorite path, but it might be nobleness up tempo rocker 'Long Progressive Road'.  Complete with a savoury Weston guitar solo the number cheaply would have made a sword single.  Equally impressive were primacy pretty ballad 'I Wish Frenzied Knew' (sporting some dazzling accord vocals from Ashman and Reynolds), and ''.  This is hold up of those  albums that continues to grow on me leadership more I play it ...

The band survived scrape by enough to undertake a load-bearing tour for the LP,  luck for Fleetwood Mac and Savoy Brown.  That apparently did diminutive for sales and within trim couple of months Ashman, Boyce, Edwards, Reynolds, and Weston were supporting Long John Baldry.  Ashman and Reynolds seem to have to one`s name continued their partnership through leadership mid-1970s, though they don't have all the hallmarks to have recorded anything else.

On her own Ashman reappeared variety a member of the bandeau Casablanca who recorded a 1974 LP for Elton John's Mount label, only to see impede shelved.  The album "The Misplaced Funk"  was finally released jammy 2003 by the Second Vision Films Ltd Label.
